Beautiful nose, very lifted, with violets, black olive, blackberry and cassis. Has a good sense of fullness and ripeness on the palate – it`s full, powerful, fresh and driving with a good, robust tannic frame and a long finish. It`s not as massive as some years, but very well balanced. A Cornas with lovely finesse of fruit and enjoyably robust tannins. It doesn`t have the concentration of the more powerful years, but it`s still very good, and true to place. 100% whole bunches, no new oak. 96 points

Dark red; the bouquet is full and calm, has a genuine depth, is built around cooked black cherries, its sweetness lurking and inviting. There’s plenty to come, variety on the agenda over time. The palate gives a classic glass of sanded granite Cornas, a determined level of black stone fruit right at its centre, with notes of violets and musky flowers in attendance. It has the persistence of its terroir, carries thickness in the tannins, is well structured, broad into the lingering, floral finish. It’s more gourmand than rigorous this year. From 2027. 4.5*
