Normally a very shy bearer but not in 2023: despite strict debudding, the Grand Clos Rousseau still made the full yield. Bright mid purple, an attractive mid raspberry, much more fluid across the palate than the village Santenay, still quite chunky but here the fruit follows through in a fine long finish. Can tell the yield even so. 88-91 points
