A blend from La Justice (in the north of the appellation), Les Seuvrees (in the south of the appellation), and the village section of Bel-Air below the tree line – so three very differently situated village plots all, according to Romain, with something very different to bring. The vines average 45 years old. Succulent red cherry is backed up by firm but smooth tannins, with slightly herbal, earthy notes and a hint of cedar which appears on the finish. Acidity seems on the relatively low end of the scale. Quite savoury, this also has a very classical Gevrey character. (NT 09/12/24)
