Siran (Margaux)

Media Reviews

Neal Martin

The 2023 Siran has a well-defined and focused bouquet, blackberry and graphite, a little Pauillac in style. The palate is medium-bodied with slightly grainy tannins, but this is well balanced and definitely fresh and vital. Classically styled with good substance on the finish, it retains Margaux-like finesse and silky texture on the finish. Very fine. 92 points

Jane Anson

An enjoyably sculpted Siran, plenty of depth to the tannins, balanced, juicy and inky, with crushed pure liqourice root, bluebuerry and cassis pastille, rose petals and mint. This is delicious, with tension and a mouthwatering finish, great stuff from owner Edouard Miaihle and winemaker Marjolaine Defrance. 35% new oak for ageing. A buy. 94 points

Antonio Galloni

The 2023 Siran is a rich, earthy Margaux. Cherry, tobacco, dried herbs and scorched earth add to an impression of rustic, wild power. This Siran has a ton of power, but incisive tannins give an impression of untamed intensity. Tasted two times. 87-89 points

William Kelley

Exhibiting aromas of dark berries and sweet new oak, the 2023 Siran is medium to full-bodied, dense and youthfully structured. It`s a solid effort. 89-91 points
