The 2023 Petit-Figeac is matured in 30% new French oak barrels. This has a reticent nose that demands coaxing, eventually revealing red berry fruit, orange pith and light cedar scents emanating from the Cabernet Sauvignon. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannins, a keen line of acidity, tart red cherries, with a dab of iodine toward the finish. Lovely. 91 points
