2023 Michel Lafarge Beaune Aigrots Rouge
Secondary Description
Clos des Aigrots
This was hard to read at the time of tasting as the nose was reductive and the malolactic conversion was still unfinished, but the potential is evident; it is impressively piquant, with a lovely sense of energy. Uncorked suspects this will turn out very nicely. (NT 11/12/24)

Jasper Morris MW
Not quite finished its malolactic. Richer purple, a touch of green apple, but otherwise a dark bright fruit. A vibrant energy, raspberry not strawberry, firmer than it will be at the back, with admirable persistence. This will be a fine Clos des Aigrots. 91-93 points
Neal Martin
The 2023 Beaune Clos des Aigrots 1er Cru was around 85% through its malo. The aromatics appear sound with energetic scents of black cherry and raspberry. The palate is well balanced with good tension, fresh and vibrant with a touch of blood orange on the finish. This has good potential. 90-92 points
