Jane Anson
Dark fruit character on the nose and colour, with intense cassis and bilberry fruit on the opening beats. This needs time to settle, but there is plenty to enjoy here, and the heavily tannic frame fruit is matched step by step by fresh acidities. The first vintage where owner Bérangère Tesseron was joined by her husband Basile Tesseron at this estate with five generations of female owners. Ageing in barrel 95%, amphora 5%. 91 points

The 2023 Larrivaux offers good upfront density and persistence, even if it also feels a touch compact. It will be interesting to see if this comes together more with élevage. There`s potential, but it’s not all there yet. Hints of plum, spice and blood orange linger. Tasted two times. 88-91 points
Neil Martin
The 2023 Larrivaux has a fragrant and pure bouquet that sets it above many other Haut-Médoc wines this vintage, conveying a sense of precision. The palate is medium-bodied with pliant, very fine tannins, almost sorbet-fresh in style. The elegant and vivid finish has plenty of tension. This is a lovely Larrivaux that will give a decade`s drinking pleasure. Superb. 91-93 points
