2023 Jean Grivot Echezeaux
Secondary Description
Lifted and floral, with notes of sweet red cherry and clove, this has a real charge of energy to it. It tingles up your gums after you spit (I spat, your mileage may vary). It leaves a sweet and vibrant impression on the lingering aftertaste. Thrilling. (NT 06/12/24)

Jasper Morris MW
One of the lighter red crimson colours, a red fruit nose, some strawberry, though not saline in the mouth until the very end, plenty of fruit filling the mouth, perhaps less delicacy and detail. 93-95 points

The 2023 Echezeaux Grand Cru has a crisp and mineral bouquet, with blackcurrant, wild strawberry fruit and a touch of chalk dust developing in the glass. This has superb delineation and focus. The palate is medium-bodied with slightly chalky tannins. It`s a tensile Echezeaux, surfeit with minerality, leading to a cohesive and persistent finish that exudes class. This is one of the best wines you will find from the Grand Cru. 95-97 points
