Bright, intense, dense and full, and patently more than you can get from a Bourgogne Rouge at most addresses. Plenty of strawberry to begin with, leading to a herbal finish. Punches above its appellation. (NT 05/12/24)

Mid ruby, with a beautifully pure pinot perfume, this is lively, with no dilution, a complete crisp raspberry fruit, with energy, body and length. Very good indeed. What more can one want? 89-90 points

The 2023 Bourgogne Rouge, which comes from vines in Vosne-Romanee, has quite a seductive nose with red cherry, raspberry and light cassis scents. It`s not complex, but there is a sense of presence. The palate is medium-bodied with svelte tannins and a slightly creamy texture due to the 30% new oak. There`s a touch of pepper toward the unassuming but pleasant finish. Enjoy this over three or four years. 86-88 points
