The 2023 Corton Les Grandes Lolieres Grand Cru, matured in 75% new oak, has quite a backward nose despite rigorous aeration. Still, I admire its precision and mineralite that only comes forth after a couple of minutes in the glass. The palate is well balanced with fine acidity threaded through the mineral-rich red fruit. It has gentle grip and a precise, poised finish that fans out. This is a superb Corton from Magnien that surpasses the previous vintage. 93 points
