The 2023 Aloxe-Corton La Coutiere 1er Cru, which sees 30% new oak, has an earthy, austere nose that has a tough time following Magnien`s seductive Gevrey cuvees. The palate is medium-bodied and fresh with crisp tannins and a touch of orange rind interlacing the dark berry fruit on the finish. This will serve you well for six or seven years. 88 points
