The 2023 Vosne-Romanee Les Jachees is another maiden cuvee from Felettig. Blended with 30% whole bunch, this is quite understated on the nose. It has hints of dark berry fruit, truffle and sous-bois. This gradually finds its voice, but it is quite discrete. The palate is medium-bodied with a sweet blueberry and cassis entry and just a hint of dark chocolate. This is sweet and candied on the finish and much more extroverted than the aromatics. Give it three or four years in bottle. 90-92 points

5 barrels. 30% stems, may explain the slightly lighter colour. Slightly more floral, plus some alpine strawberries, this has a particularly refined texture and excellent persistence without exhibiting more natural power than the village blend. Certainly an extra refinement though. 91-93 points
