2023 El Reventon Cebreros Cru Artesano

There`s a plot in their La Reina vineyard with different soil - granite but also with a part that has a laminar structure and looks more like schist/slate and is stonier and shallower - that they harvested two weeks before the rest and bottled separately as the 2023 La Reina Cru Artesano. It fomes from very healthy and nice grapes, the first picked in the winery. It fermented in concrete with 100% full clusters and indigenous yeasts with a long but very soft maceration. Part of the wine matured in used oak barrels and part in stainless steel. It`s more herbal and spicy and less fruit driven. This has more edge and is stonier and more mineral, with some austerity. 1,405 bottles and 125 magnums were filled in June 2024. 93 points
