A bright purple, rich generous ripe fruit on the nose with a suggestion of velvet texture to follow, then a higher toned fresh red fruit, some strawberry beneath with a lifted acidity at the back. Very good. Drink from 2028-2034. 90-92 points

The 2022 Gevrey-Chambertin Village has a straightforward bouquet of cranberry, wild strawberry fruit, and a touch of wild hedgerow. The palate is medium-bodied with ripe red cherry and strawberry fruit and fine weight. It just needs more precision and nervosité on the finish. Drink over the next decade. 87-89 points
