The 2022 Chardonnay Bishop Creek entices with a slightly tropical bouquet as confectionary spices give way to ripe mangos, peaches and hints of chamomile. It’s far more savory within. Silken and nearly creamy in feel, it displays ripe pit fruits and honeyed inner florals as a salty flourish adds intrigue toward the close. This leaves the palate drenched in primary concentration and crunchy mineral tones, finishing structured and spicy yet with a pretty inner sweetness. I’m loving the contrasting nature here. The Bishop Creek Vineyard was heavily affected by the frost, reducing yields in 2022 by around 60%. 94 points
