30% Hawke`s Bay (clones 15 and 548, which are apparently looking better than the clone 95 that was there) and 70% Kumeu. 40% fermented in (old) barrels and the rest in tank. Taken out of barrel just before Christmas, a few months before the other Chardonnays. This is a Wine Society favourite apparently. 9,000 cases made (12,000–13,000 cases in 2020). Quite a rich nose with very bright acidity. More palate weight than previous vintages. Good stuff! Already a fine drink. Lime streak. Stony finish. 16.5 points
