From Les Drazey & Fremieres, the latter pulled out after the 2022 harvest. Noticeably darker. Dark cherries, this has punch at the front and back but seems to lack the heart compared to the Morey. This may yet pull together with more ageing. 89-91 points

The 2022 Chambolle-Musigny Village comes mainly from the Morey side of the appellation beneath Bonnes-Mares. It has fine clarity on the nose, with black cherries, mulberry and light earthy scents. It initially feels backward, but it opens nicely with a few swirls. The palate is medium-bodied with a sweet opening. There’s fine depth, but for me, this doesn`t quite have the same degree of complexity and nuance as the Morey Village. Perhaps it needs a little more nerve and finesse on the finish. It`s still a highly enjoyable Chambolle, but I prefer the previous vintage. 87-89 points
