2022 Clos Rene (Pomerol)

Old school Pomerol, as is often the case with Clos Rene, this is extremely sweet on the palate, with black cherry jam character and a heady aromatic character of incense and sandalwood. This is not a winemaker that I would expect to change his method of harvesting according to vintage conditions. The blend given is as planted in the vineyard, not specific to the vintage. 87 points
