One barrel more than in 2020. Quite a full crimson purple in colour. A certain density of fruit evident on the nose, with some darker fruit elements. This is more than medium bodied with some good tension behind, correct and indeed useful tannins at the back, with just the right acidity. Not exceptionally expressive but refined. 91-93 points

The 2021 Corton-Rognet Grand Cru comes from a single parcel. It has a pretty, pastille-like red cherry and raspberry scented nose that just needs a little more amplitude. The palate is quite spicy on the entry and here there is much more delineation and finesse than the aromatics imply, very cohesive and well-knit on the finish. Excellent. 92-94 points
