Luis Gutierrez
The 2021 Pegaso Granito has a very clean nose and comes through as very approachable, with an elegant personality. They picked all grapes together (there were some unripe grapes) and fermented it all together. The wine has a medium-bodied palate, the granularity of the tannins is extremely small, and it has a very fine mineral sensation. It has incredible elegance and finesse, with lifted aromatics, high-pitched, acute, fine-boned and with the frontal tannins from the granite soils. Marc Isart started in 2016, and he told me the 2021 could go in the line of 2016 or 2018, but the frost decompensated the ripeness of the grapes. The resulting wine is a little lighter, and there`s a small imperfection that makes it more fluid and fine-boned. It has a contained 14% alcohol and great balance. 5,312 bottles produced. It was bottled in April 2023. 96 points

Another Telmo Rodríguez wine, this is Garnacha grown at 800m-900m on shallow soils. The bush-trained vines are very old and managed without any chemical interference, respecting traditional methods of the region. The wine is fermented with indigenous yeast and spends up to 24 months in 600-litre French oak. 2021 was the year of Filomena, the snow storm that enveloped central Spain, and this wine reflects the colder conditions with great balance and ideal structure for ageing. Beth Willard: Pretty, pure nose, red cherry and perfumed notes. Smart use of oak brings savoury character, and a tomato-vine greenness keeps the wine fresh. A really delicious yet serious wine. Valentin Radosav: Blackberry and plum with elegant herbaceous aromas. Generous fruit, bright acidity and grippy tannins, floral finish. Diana Rollan: Ripe and intense with a floral, red berry and dried-herb character on the nose. Vibrant palate, with polished tannins and a salty mineral finish. 95 points
