The 2021 Riesling Zeltinger Sonnenuhr Auslese ** (White Capsule) is clear, highly refined and beautifully intense on the ethereal nose that reveals a kind of slate perfume intermingled with fully ripe and well-concentrated fruit, including lemon aromas. On the palate, this is a silky, crystalline yet also intense and concentrated, highly elegant ZSU that reveals enormous salinity toward the stimulating fresh and lemon-bitter finish. Just 11% stated alcohol but what complexity here! Natural cork. Tasted at the domaine in May 2023. 96 points
