Vinified in a 600-liter clay amphora, the 2021 Riesling Zeltinger Sonnenuhr Auslese *** (White Capsule / AP 92) is beautifully pure and clear on the fascinating nose that shows very fine slate and fruit aromas and is more developed than the regular ZSU without being more matured. It`s already singing on the nose! On the palate, this is a full-bodied, dense and lush yet most of all refined and elegant Sonnenuhr with a savory and mouth-watering saline, long, intense and subtly powerful finish that doesn`t show muscles but fine bones and an ocean of salt. It`s very long yet still a bit sweet. 11% stated alcohol. Off-dry style. Natural cork. Tasted at the domaine from AP 92 22 in May 2023. 98 points
