Stellenbosch
A herbal and piquant rose, with a sweet prickle of red fruit. There is a creamy mid-palate, a saline finish and a lovely umami aftertaste. It is surprisingly complex at its price point! If you find that Provencal roses can get a little insipid but nevertheless enjoy the saline cut the best examples finish with, this is a rose wine for you. It`s not Provencal at all, of course, but South African; made from bush vine Cinsault vineyards overlooking False Bay. (NT 01/07/21)

Name changes from ‘Break A Leg’ but wine-style, grape variety & quality continue as before in 2020, where light oaking adds dimension, intensifies spicy berry fruit. Dry, with a long, savoury acidity, this will make excellent food wine or solo. From cinsaut, 50% oaked, older French. 90 points
