Japan
Featherlight elegance, with a slightly hoppy, wheat-beer character, quite zesty and refreshing. The palate carries citrus fruit, grapefruit and plenty of lees-influence, which imbues it with a sake-like character on the finish. The grape is Koshu, a vitis vinifera variety native to Japan, grown in the Yamanashi prefecture, not far from Mount Fuji - unique and fascinating. (JH 05/05/22)
