John Livingstone-Learmonth
full yellow; the bouquet is mighty, pronounced, announces itself with glamorous ripe tropical fruits, pineapple, papaya, grilling-toasting from the oak. The palate delves deep on the attack, combines richness with a firm feel, has spine and good, rather spiced length. Proper Hermitage blanc structure here: it leaves a red wine imprint, and will age with great style. It carries 2020 freshness, definition that sits well with its richness. There’s a lot to appreciate. From 2024, decant it - 2042. 5*
