Media Reviews

Neal Martin

The 2019 Saint-Aubin Village "Luce", a blend of three plots and raised in 15% new oak, has a taut, crushed stone and smoke-tinged bouquet that unfolds gently from the glass. The palate is well balanced with a pleasant bitter lemon trait on the entry, very precise and energetic towards the citrus-driven finish. A perfect introduction to the domaine. 89-91 points

From three plots, using 10% new wood. Pale lemon colour. The bouquet is backward, the palate is classy, predominantly in white fruit with several attractive nuances. I like the degree of flesh and the balance with the acidity. 88-90 points

Notes of crisp green orchard fruit, apple blossom and blanched almonds preface the 2019 Saint-Aubin Cuvée Luce, a medium to full-bodied, bright and concentrated wine with tangy acids and fine depth at the core. This promising cuvée is a fine introduction to Colin`s range. 90 points
