2019 Kumeu River Estate Chardonnay
Secondary Description
25% new oak, with fruit from 6 different vineyards all on Kumeu Estate. A pithy lime and grapefruit bouquet, with a touch of gunflint, it evokes nothing for me quite as much as expensive Puligny-Montrachet. Grippy and phenolic in the mouth. A revelation. (NT 04/08/20)
