2019 Kumeu River Chardonnay Ray`s Road

Ray`s Road is a Hawkes Bay vineyard, and a relatively new acquisition for Kumeu - last year was the first vintage. The fruit comes from two different limestone plots, one which supplies very ripe fruit, the other some quite highly acidic fruit, for a beautiful, balanced whole. The very perfumed bouquet is full of lime blossom and nectarine. Piquant and persistent in the mouth, with a lime and white pepper finish. Another great cuvee. (NT 04/08/20)
