Neal Martin
The 2019 Morey-Saint-Denis Village was very tight on the nose with brambly black fruit and loamy aromas. The palate is medium-bodied with a fresher feel than the Gevrey, slightly better acidity and though not overly complex, it conveys a sense of joie-de-vivre on the finish. 86-88 points

Medium deep purple. A ripe perfumed fruit on the nose, with drier strawberry on the palate, some quite firm tannins behind, a little youthful bitterness leading to a lovely finish after a more austere start. 88-90 points
Allen Meadows
Note: this has 50% 1er juice in it that comes from Les Charrières and Clos des Ormes with the remainder from the villages level vineyard of Clos Solon. A slightly more deeply pitched nose features notes of poached plum, dark raspberry and newly turned earth. There is very good power to the medium-bodied flavors that conclude in a dusty, delicious and nicely complex finish that flashes a bit of rusticity. A quality villages. 88-91 points

The 2019 Morey-Saint-Denis Village offers up aromas of raspberries, orange rind, warm spices, sweet soil tones and peonies. Medium to full-bodied, supple and velvety, it`s charming and expressive. 88-90 points
