Lemberger is the German name for a grape more widely known as Blaufrankisch (especially in Austria). Coming from the volcanic soils of southern Germany, not far from Stuttgart, this is a classic expression, with blueberry and plum fruit and a spicy finish, medium-bodied and refreshing, with minimal tannin and a mellow structure. An excellent pairing for pork. (JH 22/09/22)
