Jane Anson

This is a bright and perky wine, full of vivacity, where you get the limestone crawling upwards through the palate and that slate grip on the walls that I love. This is a good quality wine to seek out this year, showing how terroir stands out in the vintage, and gives a brilliant juicy send off to the ripe black fruits. Drinking Window 2023 - 2038. 91 points

Lisa Perrotti-Brown

Deep purple-black colored, the 2018 Moulin Haut-Laroque bursts from the glass with seductive blackberry pie, Black Forest cake and preserved plums plus hints of violets, cigar box and chargrill. Full-bodied, concentrated and packed with black fruit layers, it has a firm, velvety texture and seamless freshness, finishing fragrant. 90-92 points
