The 2018 Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru has a fresh bouquet of fennel, mint and light hazelnut aromas, all complementing the citrus fruit. The palate is vibrant and fresh on the entry with a fine bead of acidity. Harmonious from start to finish, it delivers an appealing spiciness that leaves the tongue tingling, thanks to a dab of ginger on the aftertaste. Very fine. 93-95 points

Notes of fresh pear, waxy citrus rind, white flowers, toasted almonds and crushed chalk preface the 2018 Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru (Domaine des Héritiers Jadot), a full-bodied, tensile and structured wine that`s racy, phenolic and youthfully introverted, concluding with a mineral finish. Once again, this is built for the cellar and will be well worth seeking out. 93-95 points

This 2-ha plot was acquired in 1914. Smoked almonds, honey and toast on the nose. Very oily, concentrated and dense. Very nutty, bold and smoky at this stage, it will need time to unfurl, integrate and reveal its fruit. The long, savoury finish highlights the potential. 17 points
