Joe Czerwinski
Tasted from a new oak barrel, the 2018 Cote Rotie Champin le Seigneur shows plenty of generous cherry fruit. It`s medium to full-bodied, ripe and lush. Just lovely stuff. 90-93 points

Seductively perfumed dark berry, floral and exotic spice qualities on the nose, along with a bright mineral flourish. Energetic blackberry, bitter cherry and candied violet flavors show fine definition and take on a smoky aspect on the back half. Fleshy and supple on the mineral-driven finish, which features repeating florality and rounded tannins that sneak in late. 92-93 points
