This is a significant cuvée amounting to 20,000 bottles from 18 plots below Chambolle. Fine bright purple, with plenty of fruit energy as well. Luscious ripe raspberries. This is really delicious. It is very elegant on the palate, having been bottled a little bit earlier to keep the fruit. Very long fresh and stylish. 89 points

The 2018 Bourgogne Rouge was the only cru in bottle at the time of my tasting. It has attractive dark cherry and bergamot scents on the nose. The palate is medium-bodied with light tannins, very pretty fruit and a pleasant sharpness on the finish. 86 points

This has already been bottled, as is customary, a few months prior to my visit, but was showing nicely in early November. The wine comes in at 13.2 percent octane and offers up a ripe and wide open bouquet of baked red and black cherries, chocolate, a nice touch of soil and a smoky topnote. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied and has a very good core for Bourgogne, with good focus and balance and just a whisper of backend tannin on the reasonably long finish. This is a good example that will drink well from release. Drink 2020-2030. 87 points

The 2018 Bourgogne Rouge is generous and inviting, bursting with aromas of cherries, blackberries, dried flowers and spices. On the palate, it`s medium to full-bodied, ample and fleshy, its velvety tannins cloaked in ripe, succulent fruit. This pleasure-bent bottling represents remarkable value. 88 points

A very ripe nose features notes of plum, cassis, black cherry and soft earth influences. There is fine volume and acceptable verve to the concentrated and delicious flavors that display a touch of bitter cherry pit character on the ever-so-slightly warm finale. This is attractive but it would be fair to say that it`s very 2018 in style. 86 points

Mid crimson. Open, fragrant and invitingly red-fruited. Lightish on the mid palate but balanced and juicy with appropriately subtle tannins. 16 points
