2018 Ghislaine Barthod Chambolle-Musigny

The fruit for Ghislaine’s Chambolle comes from no less than 11 sites in the north, south, east and west of the village vineyards, so Ghislaine thinks it’s pretty representative! Salivating and succulent, still fresh (fresher than the Bourgogne Rouge), full of delightful notes of ripe red cherry, strawberry, blood orange and roses. Reflecting the vintage, it’s a bit bigger and less lacy than typical for Chambolle. (NT 09/01/20)
