2018 Francois Bertheau Chambolle Amoureuses

One of Chambolle’s very finest vineyards, it even challenges the grand crus though it is only classified as premier cru itself. It lies just below Musigny. A real beauty, even if it is still relatively closed, even a little brooding at this stage. It shows both red and dark fruit character, herb, spice and pencil lead. (NT 09/01/20)
