2018 Dugat-Py Gevrey-Chambertin Champeaux TVV

Dugat-Py hold two parcels in this fine mid-slope Gevrey vineyard – one of 60 year-old vines, the other of 70. There is very little earth here, with the mother rock close to the surface. 80% whole bunch used on this cuvee, which has endowed the wine with very fresh, silky tannins. Black cherry and bramble, with more red fruit character appearing on the very persistent finish. A lingering and impressive wine. (NT 10/01/20)
