Jane Anson
This is a lovely white, full of ripe fruits with exotic touches of mango and white peach. It`s a succulent wine with traces of minerality through the finish that are extremely welcome. There`s lots to enjoy here, although it may not hold its grip and nerve for as long as the 2017 will. Don`t let that put you off though - if you`re looking to drink in the next few years then this might be the one to go for. 42hl/ha yield. 40% new oak. Drink 2020 - 2030. 93 points

68% Sauvignon Blanc, 32% Sémillon; 40% new oak. Intense ripe lemon with creamy oak entwined. Lots of oak spice. Intense on the palate too, a bit sweet and sour, with grapefruit and pineapple cubes (hard candy). Slightly harsh on the finish, bitter lemon aftertaste. 15.5 points

The Bouscaut 2018 Blanc leaps from the glass with bold lime cordial, pink grapefruit and white peach scents plus hints of ginger and marzipan. Medium-bodied, the palate has very focused fruit and great intensity with a pleasant oiliness to the texture and a long, refreshing finish. 90-92 points

The 2018 Bouscaut is a tasty, pleasantly rustic wine to drink over the near term. 86-88 points
