Lemon, mandarin, ginger, a touch of flint and a big bouquet of flowers all come together in the expansive aromatics of this lovely wine. From the rocky white soils of the Les Perrieres vineyard, the single most outstanding premier cru vineyard in Meursault. It is more sun-kissed than Genevrieres, which also comes across in the rich texture and the slightly higher alcohol. Intensely persistent. (NT 06/01/20)

The 2018 Meursault Les Perrières 1er Cru has a very pretty bouquet with vivacious yellow plum, orange pith and crushed stone aromas that gain complexity in the glass. The palate is well balanced with a fine bead of acidity that keeps this on its toes. Hints of lime and orange zest combine with wonderful salinity on the finish that feels very persistent. Excellent. Tasted blind at the Burgfest 2018 white tasting. 94 points
