A pretty amazing bouquet here. Very classically Burgundian, and full of very clearly-defined lemon, lime and grapefruit. Very intense, quite high acidity, full with even a slight oiliness to the texture, then a long, persistent aftertaste. From 45 year-old vines. Charles has refined barrel selection here, and uses barrels with a fine, long, slow, light toast to great effect. Just beautiful. (NT 06/01/20)
