2018 Arlaud Chambolle-Musigny

Secondary Description
From four plots in the north of the village on the Morey side: Les Bussieres, Les Herbues, Les Chardannes, and Les Gamaires. Bramble, floral and red fruit aromas, with slightly earthy undertones and a touch of white pepper. On the palate, it feels slightly sweeter and denser than the aromas might suggest – deep and delicate. Will take a few years to come round. (NT 03/01/20)

Jasper Morris MW

Dense purple, a sweet ripe black fruit, tannins a little bit dry behind but not an extreme example and the correct pure dark raspberry fruit returns to finish off. 86-89 points

The 2018 Chambolle-Musigny Village has a delightful bouquet of blackberry, raspberry and light violet aromas, the 15% new oak nicely integrated. The smooth, silky palate is ripe and generous on the entry, with fine tannins and an almost creamy but beautifully controlled, minerally finish. Excellent. 89-91 points
