These vines were planted in 1965 and the wine is matured in 100% oak, of which 20% is new. But the oak is barely apparent on the nose or palate. It has melon and mandarine fruit and good length. (CW 9/11/18)

The range begins with a superb 2017 Bourgogne Chardonnay, the best I`ve ever tasted from Vincent Dureuil. It`s a terrific wine that wafts from the glass with aromas of crisp green pear, yellow citrus fruit and almond paste, followed by a medium-bodied, elegantly textural palate that`s beautifully lively and vibrant. This is well worth seeking out. 89 points
