2017 Freeman Pinot Noir Yu-ki
Secondary Description
Yu-Ki is Akiko`s nephew, the name meaning Courage or Big Tree. This vineyard, located 5 miles from the coast at 1000ft above sea-level, produces a distinctly cool-climate (yet clearly American) expression of Pinot Noir, with soft plum and red berry fruit, ripe yet fresh, and a touch of cherry liqueur on the finish. This seems more approachable and early drinking than other wines in the Freeman range. (JH 16/01/21)
