An oomphy start, a nice soft finish. Power and delicacy combined. The best of the Lumpp whites - not surprising since Crausot is probably the best Chardonnay vineyard in Givry. Waxy and luscious, with a touch of wood showing through on the finish. (NT 20/02/19)

These stony, chalky soils are some of the best for Chardonnay in Givry, especially in the hands of François Lumpp. Early-picked to retain acidity in 2017, this is a waxy and intense wine with lovely focus and precision accompanied by a patina of spicy oak. Drinking Window 2019 - 2024. 93 points
