Purple fruit, medium weight, good acidity, and surprisingly dark and intense for a Bourgogne Rouge. More Vosne than Chambolle? Quite serious for the level. (NT 20/02/19)

The 2017 Bourgogne Rouge is matured in 20% new oak, the malo having just finished on this cuvée when I visited the domaine. It has a pure, generous bouquet of black cherries and cassis fruit. The palate is medium-bodied, quite dense and intense for a Bourgogne Rouge, with plenty of blue fruit toward the finish. Quite a boisterous wine! 84-86 points
