Allen Meadows
Moderate wood frames white orchard fruit, floral and soft citrus nuances. The notably rich and relatively generously proportioned flavors possess an appealing sense of underlying verve before culminating in a stony, delicious and dry-in-the-best sense finish. 89-92 points

The 2017 Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru Les Folatières offers up notes of ripe citrus, apples and white flowers, followed by a medium-bodied, pure and attractively tensile palate. The vines here are still young and the wine doesn`t have the depth or concentration of the Combettes, but it`s an elegant middle-weight that should offer a broad drinking window. 90-92 points

Very young vines, some planted only in 2013/14, the rest from 10 to 15 years old. Fresh light reduction quite floral nose. Sweet fruit on the attack, a few citrus notes, no massive depth, well-made but the youth of the vines shows. 91 points

The 2017 Puligny-Montrachet Les Folatières 1er Cru has a very taut nose at first, only reluctantly unfurling to reveal green apple scents with touches of honeysuckle and linseed developing with time in the glass. The well-balanced palate is fresh on the entry with a fine bead of acidity, perhaps just needing to manifest more terroir expression and mineralité on the finish. 89-91 points
