2016 Triennes Les Aureliens Blanc

North of Bandol and east of Marseille, tucked into the hills of Provence about 20 kilometers from the coast, some select Burgundians are making Provencal wine. The Aureliens Blanc blends local Rolle (a.k.a. Vermentino) with Chardonnay; it blends the freshness and acidity one expects from modern white Burgundy with the rich viscosity and orange peel character typical of Rolle.
