This is the most reduced so far but on the palate it has energy and fine acidity and it has the signature fine tannins and clear harmony. (CW 7/11/17)

Neal Martin
The 2016 Gevrey Chambertin, matured in 10% new oak, has a gentle bouquet that feels timid at first, then gains confidence to offer raspberry coulis and crushed strawberry scents. The palate is medium-bodied with fine-grain tannin, not as structured as the Morey-Saint-Denis, prioritizing precision on the finish. This should drink well for several years. 88-90 points

Reduction. There is evident sauvage character to the bigger, richer and more powerful flavors that possess ample punch if less refinement, all wrapped in a sappy and moderately austere finish. This is very Gevrey in character and once again will need a few years to more fully harmonize. 88-90 points
