Where the current 2022 release Marsanne tastes of honeysuckle, honeydew melon and apples and the 2016 Museum Release of the same wine has morphed into a toasty, voluminous and resolutely spicy iteration, this 2015 1927 Vines Marsanne is savory, dry, herbal and littered with mixed grasses (bison grass, wheat grass, hay, straw and lemongrass). The acidity is a little green, the phenolics are chalky and streamlined, and there is a drop of tropical juiciness through the finish. How awesome. Exciting. Tight as anything. The drinking window [2022-2032] may be very conservative. 95 points
