Tuscany is not widely known for its rose wine, Chianti even less so. But our favourite Chianti estate have turned out a cracker, although don`t call this Chianti - DOCG regulations don`t admit rosato, even though this is made from the classic Chianti grapes Sangiovese and Canaiolo, so this is IGT. Crisp and fresh, with a tang of strawberry fruit, there is bags of energy here. This would get you through a Tuscan summer never mind an English one. (NT 20/05/16)
